Our Mission
We believe finding the right movie should be effortless. No scrolling through endless lists, no account sign-ups, no algorithms tracking your every click. Just describe what you want to feel, and we'll find the film.
How the AI Works
When you type a description like "a slow-burn detective story in the rain," our AI pipeline does the following:
- Intent parsing: Google Gemini interprets your natural language and extracts structured filters — genres, keywords, runtime preferences, and release year ranges.
- Discovery: We search the TMDB database using those filters to find candidate movies from the TMDB catalogue of thousands of titles.
- Scoring: A deterministic scoring algorithm ranks candidates by rating, popularity, recency, and genre overlap with your request.
- Enrichment: Each pick is enriched with ratings from OMDb (IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic), streaming provider info, and trailer links.
- Reasoning: Gemini generates a one-sentence explanation for why each movie was selected, personalized to your original prompt.
Privacy First
No accounts. No tracking. No cookies beyond your theme preference. Your prompts are processed in real-time and never stored. We don't know who you are, and we prefer it that way.
Data Sources
Movie data, images, and streaming availability come from TMDB. Ratings are aggregated from OMDb, which combines IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic scores. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by TMDB.
